Every year we take 50 members of the local community out to Blackpool for a day out. We try to do two trips a year, one in the school summer holidays and one towards the end of the year when the Blackpool Illuminations are on.
This is a great opportunity for the community as there are a lot of members of the community who have never had to opportunity to go to Blackpool before or who may not be able to afford to go as we subsidise the cost of the transport.
This also helps to build upon community cohesion as it fosters a stronger bond between the members of the community and is also good for their wellbeing!
